First Mia's review: I liked this book because sometimes it made me laugh, but I didn't understand a lot of the jokes.
My favorite one was: What kingdom in the Bible made the best sandwiches: Ba-baloney-a! I liked the pictures, and my favorite ones were the proph-sea, the mini-stir, and Son-rise.
It made me want to learn more about the Bible stories so that I can get the jokes better. Now my review: As an adult, I thought the jokes, which are mostly word plays, were hilarious, but I often had to explain many of them to Mia, so I wouldn't recommend this to kids seven or under.

Most of them will go right over their heads. However, this is a perfect book to get a laugh from older kids, especially for breaking the ice with junior high students.

The illustrations add to the humor, and even when Mia didn't get the jokes, she enjoyed looking at the pictures. I plan on using these jokes to torture friends and family often!
Dec 31, Vicki rated it it was amazing. It will also teach them a little bit about some of the stories in the Bible. The jokes are really cute. Here are a few examples: Why is God like a shoemaker? Because he heels soles. When did God free Jesus from the tomb? At Son-Rise In what sea can you see the future?
Prophe-sea Where do cowboys talk to God? On a prayer-ie I enjoyed reading this book and think the age recommendation should be adjusted for children who are even younger than 6 yrs.
